Choquequirao Trek 4 Days
Choquequirao in an Inca archaeological site located in the fringes of the snowy Salkantay, north of the Apurímac River in the district of Santa Teresa, province of La Convencion, department of Cusco at 3033 meters above sea level.
Known as “THE SACRED SISTER OF MACHU PICCHU” due to the similarity between both Inca sites, the arrival route is through a 4-day trek, on the way to Choquequirao we will find a great variety of flora and fauna. fauna such as the condor, the hummingbird, the cock-of-the-rock, the foxes, vizcachas, spectacled bear, where you can appreciate a great variety of orchids.
ITINERARY OF THE TOUR TO CHOQUEQUIRAO 4 DAYS AND 3 NIGHTS
The tour to Choquequirao consists of 4 days and 3 nights, it is one of the magnificent places to spend unforgettable days.
DAY 1: CUSCO-CURAHUASI-CAPULILLOQ-SANTA ROSA-MARAMPATA
- ➡ 3:00AM pick up from hotel to starting point
- ➡ 7:00am breakfast in Capuliyoc (not included)
- ➡ 8:00am start of the walk to Chiquiska
- ➡ 11:30am arrival to Chiquiska, lunch time.
- ➡13:30pm Rosalina Beach to Marampata on horses
- ➡ 18:00pm arrival to the Marampata camp, dinner and overnight
DAY 2: MARAMPATA CHOQUEQUIRAO-MARAMPATA
- ➡ 1:30 p.m. lunch time at the Choquequirao esplanade
- ➡ 4:00 p.m. return to Marampata, Centa and overnight
DAY 3: MARAMPATA-CHIQUISKA-CAPULIYOQ
- ➡ 6:00am breakfast
- ➡ 7:00am start of the trek from Marampata to Rosalina. To continue on horseback.
- ➡ 13:30pm we will continue on horseback for the last stretch to Capuliyoq
- ➡ 16:30pm arrival at Capuliyoq (last camp)
- ➡ 18 :00pm dinner time and farewell of team members
DAY 4: CAPULIYOQ-CACHORA-CUSCO
- ➡ 7:00am breakfast time
- ➡ 8:00am walk from Capuliyoq to the town of Ccachora(optional)
- ➡ 10:00am return to the city of Cusco
- ➡ 2:00 p.m. arrival in the city of Cusco
